An edition not to be missed
From 22 to 25 October 2026, during the All Saints' Day school holidays, Paris Games Week celebrates its 15th anniversary at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. For the occasion, France's biggest video game show becomes the "Playground Edition," promising to turn its halls into a giant playground. Here is what awaits you and how to prepare for your stay.
The Playground Edition: a show to explore like a game
The big novelty of this 15th edition lies in the way you visit. The show's official app offers an interactive trail: challenges to complete, collectible badges to unlock and rewards to win as you move through the different areas. A mascot also makes its debut, a giant robot with a passion for video games, who will serve as a landmark in the aisles. The rapper Bigflo, already involved in the 2025 edition, returns as artistic advisor and helps shape a programme that blends concerts, video games and pop culture.
The show is also stepping outside its walls. With the "Hors les Murs" programme, Paris Games Week takes over Paris and the Île-de-France region in the weeks leading up to the opening, through partnerships with cultural organisations.
French creativity in the spotlight
The Game France Pavilion will cover 300 m² and bring together more than thirty games from French studios, from indie productions to action games and narrative experiences. It is a chance to talk directly with the teams who make them, and often to discover titles you might not have come across elsewhere.
Stay steps away from Paris Games Week
If you are travelling from afar or simply don't fancy a late journey home after a day of gaming, it makes sense to sleep close to the show. Located in the 15th arrondissement, Hôtel Moderniste is a 5-minute walk from Paris Expo. In the morning, you are at the show before the doors open; in the evening, you can head back without taking the metro.
Our tips for making the most of Paris Games Week
Book your tickets in advance on the show's official website, and arrive early: queues are shorter in the morning, especially at the most popular stands. The show is huge, so check ahead which games you want to try and which events you don't want to miss. Bring comfortable shoes and a power bank, as you will be doing a lot of walking and even more filming.
