Galeries Lafayette Haussmann takes visitors on a magical journey through snowy landscapes to a fairy-tale destination right in the heart of Paris. This year, the exhibition opening welcomed Clara Luciani! You’ll encounter living tableaux: busy elves, a trotting baby elephant, a boots-wearing duck strutting around, a stylish Santa at his desk, and even a giant printer spitting out rolls of wrapping paper. The magic continues under the Dome with a spectacular 16-meter Christmas tree, and on the rooftop, a skating rink awaits the bravest visitors.
This year, Printemps Haussmann celebrates “A Christmas in New York,” honoring the opening of its first American store in Manhattan. The windows along Boulevard Haussmann showcase a band of adventurous dogs exploring the Big Apple, from the steps of the MET to the Rockefeller Center ice rink, all in a black-and-white comic book style. The 125 handcrafted figures, made by Valérie Cuter, are created from natural and recyclable materials. Inside, an 8-meter tree stands beneath the Wybo Dome, while the New York Ice Rink by FERRERO ROCHER on the 7th-floor rooftop offers a magical view of Paris.
The animated windows on Rue de Sèvres come to life as small stories to enjoy. About a hundred plush rabbits go about their business with humor and poetry: from the carrot factory to the grocery, the chocolate shop to the apothecary, all the way to the hatter and even Chantal Goya’s fan club. Children can step onto a platform to follow these adventures up close and immerse themselves in a world that is funny, tender, and fascinating.
For Christmas 2025, La Samaritaine celebrates the art of giving with Paris m’emballe, placing the ribbon at the heart of its festive magic. Winding, luminous, and unpredictable, it decorates façades, windows, and staircases, turning the store into a giant treasure box. The iconic peacock leaves its mural on the 5th floor to follow the ribbon and watch over the gifts. Artist Elsa Tomkowiak fills the space with immersive, colorful installations, reinterpreting the ribbon in PVC and XXL weavings. On the ground floor, the Gift Wrapping Studio, in collaboration with Impression Originale, offers custom papers, ribbons, and wrapping and calligraphy workshops. The Giant Advent Calendar returns to keep children and adults alike eagerly counting down to Christmas.
