What to do for Easter 2024 in Paris ?

On the weekend of March 30th, 31st, and April 1st, 2024, Paris lights up with festivities to celebrate Easter. If you're looking for unique activities to celebrate this traditional holiday, the capital offers a plethora of unusual options.

Of course, the quintessential Easter experience is the egg hunt, and as always, in the City of Light, you have choices!

For an Easter egg hunt on the water, some Parisian boat cruise companies invite you to participate in an egg hunt on the Seine, directly aboard the boat. Picture yourself strolling along the Seine, admiring the most beautiful Parisian landmarks, all while searching for precious chocolate eggs. These cruises, organized by the Batobus company, are scheduled for Sunday, March 31st at 10:00 AM and 4:45 PM, as well as Monday, April 1st, at the same times. Departure is from the Batobus stop at the Louvre.

But Paris also offers more traditional egg hunts on solid ground. The Paris Zoological Park, also known as the Zoo de Vincennes, welcomes families for a grand egg hunt on Sunday, March 31st, and Monday, April 1st, 2024. In addition to the hunt, fun activities and a decorated egg contest are on the agenda, offering an entertaining day with the animals. In a more unusual setting, the village of Oeufoville opens its doors to the public on Sunday, March 31st, and Monday, April 1st. There, egg enthusiasts will introduce you to their collection of eggs from around the world. Creative egg decoration workshops, an exhibition, a chocolate sales stand, and an egg hunt are also planned for the enjoyment of both young and old.

Lastly, to combine pleasure with solidarity, don't miss the traditional Easter egg hunt organized by the Secours Populaire de Paris at André Citroën Park in the 15th arrondissement. Scheduled for Sunday, March 31st, 2024, this solidarity egg hunt brings together over 200 volunteers to animate this day under the sign of solidarity and mutual aid. Children can purchase a hunting permit for €6 to participate in this beautiful initiative.

Whether you prefer hunting for eggs on the water, in a zoo, in the heart of an unusual village, or in a solidarity setting, Paris offers a multitude of activities to celebrate Easter with family!
